Trading academy
identity & signage.
Identity, exterior signage, and a print stationery system for a Northern Nigeria trading academy. Built to look credible to first-time students without leaning on the visual language of speculation.

Where the project started.
Gayu was preparing to open its first physical premises and needed an identity, exterior signage, and the basic print kit a working business runs on — letterhead, business cards, banners, intake forms.
The category looks the same everywhere: bull silhouettes, neon green, charts going up. We were asked for something more grown-up.
How we worked through it.
We sidestepped the trading clichés entirely. The wordmark reads more like a small university than a trading floor — serif-led, restrained, sized to hold up at banner scale and print at A6 without redrawing.
The print system uses a single ink, deliberately. It keeps reproduction costs low for a young business and forces every layout decision through a tight constraint, which is good for the work.
What changed after launch.
Identity, signage, and the full print kit went live for the school's first cohort. The system has carried two intakes without a refresh and a third without our involvement.
